CUNY Collaborative Care Webinar: Depression and Anxiety Medication Management for Prescribers

The Center for Innovation in Mental Health at the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy, in partnership with the New York State Office of Mental Health and the University of Washington AIMS Center, are hosting a Collaborative Care webinar on “Depression and Anxiety Medication Management for Prescribers” on Wednesday, March 20th, from 9:00 am – 10:00 am.
This webinar will provide an overview of best practices for medication management to treat depressive and anxious symptoms within medical settings. Geared towards medical providers, the webinar will outline first-line medications, best practices for titration as well as medication changes if clients are not responding, considerations for benzodiazepine prescription, and key messages to communicate to patients and families followed by a Q&A.
The featured speaker for this training is Dr. Sarah A. Johnson, MD. Dr. Johnson is a preventive medicine physician experienced in primary care transformation, data-driven technical assistance and training, and implementation and development of health information technology.
